Let’s talk Asphalt?
Asphalt Distributor tanks are for the safe transport, storage and spraying on highways, parking lots and driveways and stabilization work.
Asphalt is a composite blend of aggregate, binder, and filler, with aggregates typically including crushed rock, sand, gravel, or slag. A sticky binder, often bitumen, is employed to hold the aggregates together in a cohesive mixture. While asphalt is primarily utilized for road paving, its applications extend beyond this, showcasing its versatility as a commonly employed material. Across the globe, a majority of roads are surfaced with asphalt due to its proven ability to deliver reliable performance and longevity under intense traffic conditions. Asphalts exhibit robust performance and resilience across a diverse range of climates and traffic scenarios.
Asphalt Distributor:
The main job of an asphalt distributor is to apply an adhesive or bonding coating to a road surface. An asphalt distributor is a truck-mounted insulated tank with a number of special-purpose attachments. When sprayed onto the coating, the process acts as a “glue” to hold the existing and new coating layers together.
It is a unit consisting of asphalt distributor, insulated storage and heating tank, open flame heating system, asphalt pump, low pressure air blower, circulation and spraying system. The power to drive the components is PTO driven. It guarantees precise, safe and easy use in laying bitumen and bitumen emulsions.
Distributor tanks are designed for the safe transport, storage and spraying of oil based materials such as asphalt emulsions, bitumen, adhesive coating on highways, parking lots and driveways and stabilization work. Like any machine, asphalt distributors need to be well maintained and regularly checked for calibration in order to function properly.
The VAD 5400A Asphalt Distributor features a proportional control system that allows the operator to set the amount of material to be spread on the surface. The specially designed Spray Bar ensures this material is evenly distributed at a width of 5400mm.
The VAD 4200A Asphalt Distributor offers a total spreading width of 4200mm and utilizes pneumatic spray bar movement.
Upon inputting the desired material quantity into the control panel, the system synchronizes data from the radar, asphalt pump, and spray bar to optimize the pump flow rate.
The VAD 3600A Proportional Asphalt Distributor features a 3600mm total spreading width and utilizes pneumatic spray bar movement. The operator inputs the desired material quantity through the panel, and the system processes data from the radar, asphalt pump, and spray bar to automatically adjust the optimal pump flow rate.
Despite having a spreading width of 3600mm and a pneumatic-controlled spray-bar mechanism, the VAD3600M allows the operator to control all systems from the cabin. The complete heating system, cleaning, spreading, and other pump functions can still be easily operated with just a few buttons.
